Intermediate RiderCourse (IRC)

The Intermediate RiderCourse (IRC) is an approximately 5-hour riding course designed to help you develop basic riding skills.  Exercises focus on a variety of cornering skills and limited-space maneuvers.  By the end of the course, you should be able to handle a motorcycle well enough to negotiate normal street and traffic situations.  Motorcycles are provided for your use.  You MUST bring your own DOT-approved helmet.  RENJ is not loaning out helmets at this time.

Students must provide:

• Current motorcycle license
• Eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses)
• Full-fingered gloves (leather is best)
• Sturdy over-the-ankle boots (not canvas)
• Long sturdy pants (denim is best) (NO SWEATPANTS or LEGGINGS)
• Long sleeve shirt OR jacket
• Rain gear (optional – if needed)
• Lunch, Snacks, and Drinks
• Helmet – DOT approved – You MUST bring your own DOT-approved helmet.  RENJ is not loaning out helmets at this time.
